This week's tribute for Crew Love goes to a longtime friend of the brand, New Jersey's own rap vet Rasheed Chappell. We go waaay back with this dude!
From the days when he and the bossman Teddy were killing it onstage in Japan back in 2012 — TK behind the tables, RC as the emcee — to getting through 2020 like the rest of us in one of our "Road Runners Club" tees (seen above), Chappell is one of those people that will always have a place to call home at the shop. On his recent joint project with 38 Spesh called Ways and Means, the New Jersey native proves that his skills on a mic are still valid as ever. Whether considering production or punchlines, the EP as a whole made for a perfect pairing that showed both rappers at their finest.
Take a look at a some throwback flicks of Rasheed Chappell rocking vintage PRIVILEGE and Lafayette gear over the years, in addition to a stream of Ways and Means plus video of the Japan show with TK from 2012:
