For this week of Crew Love, we decided to take it all the way back to 2013 when TDE's own ScHooboy Q gave our Lafayette x Disney "Classic Mickey" headwear collection of bucket hats some extra love on mad different occasions.
Not only did he feature the tiger stripe camo and khaki versions in his classic music video for "Collard Greens," he also rocked the leopard print one while performing at the 2013 BET Experience in Los Angeles as well (seen above). When his Oxymoron album officially dropped a few months after at the top of 2014, Q would become one of the premiere new acts in hip-hop by debuting at number 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and racking up nominations for "Album Of The Year" at the 2014 BET Hip Hop Awards and "Best Rap Album" at the 2015 GRAMMYs. Being that it was one of XXL Magazine's 15 hottest music videos of summer '13, we can only hope the hats helped garner his "Collard Greens" video a few extra views. Good looks again on that plug, Q!
As we await for a proper follow-up to his CrasH Talk album released last year, peep the music video for "Collard Greens" featuring the legend Kendrick Lamar to see where our love for the kid all began:
